i'm trying to like the new sun kil moon but its still not that interesting to me. bizzy bone A Song for You has the same laid back vibe that all the best 90s jams had. one of favorite albums this year

Kemialliset Ystävät - Harmaa Laguuni

I've been enjoying the S/T. Where should I go next? It seems (he?) has a lot of releases..

Hmm... to be honest, this CD that was put out by Secret Eye and sold on the US tour, is a great place to go from the self-titled / untitled album. Quite a number of guests (Fonal head Es, Tom and Christina Carter and FM3) on the record, which give it a unique sound from the other KY releases. In general this album is much easier to digest because it doesn't sound like the psychedelic collage-cluster-fuck of the last album, instead it is a further infusion of electronics into Kemialliset Ystävät's aesthetic. While I rather liked the psych-fuck-psych-fuck-collage, I could read with this album on in the background. The self/untitled album would never be so kind.

But yeah, in general, you could probably just hit up the major Fonal releases if you'd rather not meander with CD-r's and limited tapes:

Damo Suzuki: So, um, yeah. Getting older isn't as bad as it sounds. Better than being young & poor (DjDrake) or young & slutty (SG) or young, poor and slutty (Paves); am I right?

Alright, my friends. It's time for another solid little rock jam

Today and tonight's listening, gotta start going through my '08 new releases, give some of these extended spins, Wolf Parade has been very neglected since purchasing. And Weezer, well, tracks 7-9 don't sound near as bad now, but still subpar.

"The public are collectively fucking retarded." - tylerdurden74 "The world is filled with people who are no longer needed - and who try to make slaves of all of us - and they have their music and we have ours - theirs, the wasted songs of a superstitious nightmare - and without their musical and ideological miscarriages to compare our song of freedom to, we'd not have any opposite to compare music with - and like the drifting wind, hitting against no obstacle, we'd never know it's speed, it's power..." Classic album. Fuck yes. It doesn't get much better. Well, The Mr. T Experience's Love Is Dead almost does. But man. My Brain Hurts.

Playing right now and earlier today:
