Excellent on both fronts.

I need to pay better attention: usually I check out an album asap if one of a handful of folks are into it - you, James, Paves, falconi, burz, mouthbreather, sid, plastic - but I clearly missed the boat here (at least) three times. Fucking Peter, I am.

TS only mentioned it in some early '08 related posts. Something about the album being one of the best of the year and the title track being one of the best of the year, etc. All in list form. Burzum posted it in the "2008 obscuria" thread, which was very short-lived, and also in a couple "'08 list posts." And I mentioned it a few times in passing.

Besides the early post by Burzum, nobody made an effort to really pimp the album to any extent. So don't feel bad.

I just didn't want it to get buried by all the other countless '08 releases, so I waited until now to start talking it up. Thanks to Plastic for setting me off.

Damo Suzuki: So, um, yeah. Getting older isn't as bad as it sounds. Better than being young & poor (DjDrake) or young & slutty (SG) or young, poor and slutty (Paves); am I right?

Alright, my friends. It's time for another solid little rock jam

Not following. Followed the thread, it died an early death. Saddened by the wasted potential.

Money (Skeletons)

I'm only going to mention this once, so you should listen: this a really great album and should be heard by all. Your loss if you don't download.

RIYL: Talking Heads, James Chance/White, Akron/Family, Dirty Projectors, Pere Ubu

Trappers Mind (Trappers Cabin)

OMG - this is serious AOY competition, which is alarming in a year where, from March-on or so, there's been only one AOY contender, period.

RIYL: trippy psyche, the idea of freak-folk but not necessarily the execution, Ween.

I'll get a link later maybe, but this should be pretty easy to find via google. Oh man. Fantastic.

One of my favorite Belle and Sebastien albums, even if it is a compilation. Great array of tunes here.

I have no idea what the fuck this is, but on the "strength" of the album art and your esteemed recommendation, I'll have to give this a listen.

Also, I found a link for it:

My Disco - Paradise

I've only just starting to listen to this, but as soon as the intro began I realized I was listening to a Paves record. Such a Paves record and I mean that in the best possible way.
