Today my listening has consisted of Merriweather Post Pavilion, the new Tim Hecker and the Mae Shi covering Miley Cyrus.

For running:

the latter is a mixtape from a local hip hop group Team Knoc called The Makeover. they went on to do some pretty unremarkable shit, but those early fruitful days of garage band preset beats and quick witted rhymes will be cherished forever.

Foxboro Hot Tubs: Stop Drop and Roll!!!
Very very pleased with this. It met and exceeded all my expectations, mainly to the fact that I had none, and did not know this shit existed. Apparently I'm a green day fan again.

Portishead -- Third
I don't think I really need to say anything about this album. It's all been said already. The thing is really good.

Haven't listened to this in a while. Beautiful beautiful stuff. Love her voice. Always makes me feel horny. I mean wistful. It makes me feel wistful.

Truly one of the best records of 08. Had I given it more time, it would've been much higher on my list. Just glad I got it in there somewhere.

Can someone tell me why people go on about this thing like it's the best thing ever? I mean, the first four tracks, Holland 1945,and Oh Comely are really good songs,But the rest doesn't live up to the hype for me.A solid record for sure,But somewhere around track 9 it gets repetitive and I always feel like stopping the record there.

some mellow ease my way into sleeping time stuff:

man, the most amazing thing is after 40 some years of singing her voice is still pristine live. I couldn't believe it when I saw her.
aleyna> that teaches them not to get in my way.

Badly Drawn Boy -- Hour of the Bewilderbeast
I forgot about this for years until recently. I feel like I'm getting reacquainted with an old friend who I didn't realize I missed so much. Shame that dude never was able to follow this thing up properly....
