Velocity it's no secret that I hated my job, my boss and the overall shitty atmosphere of the bakery. A few weeks ago my manager and I had a chat and she said it's obvious I'm not happy there and why am I staying if that's the case. I told her while I may not be 100% happy there I was not crazy enough to quit unless I have another job lined up. She then asked a few days later if I was in fact job hunting and I said I was exploring my options, but that I didn't have a set departure date. Well tonight she told me that she and the owner have decided that September 6th will be my last day and that I only need to work four more days until then. They're going to give me two weeks extra pay and they won''t fight it if I file for unemployment.

I have some cash saved so I think I'll be OK. I've already had one job interview and I'm applying for other positions. I won't miss the place and I'm happy to get the hell out of there and away from the craziness.
