guys... those posts are a joke
do they just make the whole thing up?
I recall they used to (might still do it) do a year in review for the upcoming year, which was usually pretty funny. Can't discount their snark factor.

"Do you kiss your son with that mouth? You probably do, because you aren't using it to sing any new Wrens songs!"

While [Pro Wrestling Illustrated] writers do conduct certain legitimate interviews with figures within the wrestling business, the majority of "in-character" quotes are penned by the magazine's staff.

Wrens Watch Special Report, Jan. 9, 2009: New Wrens Single Out Now!
:: Wrens Watch, Jan. 9, 2009
We were duped. It’s now obvious that the man who said he was Bissell’s father in Monday’s Wrens Watch was actually Bissell himself using a fake, overtly homophobic voice. He knew that we were close to breaking the story about a new Wrens single, and he just couldn’t let that happen. Well, Tricky Bissell almost got away with it, but he wasn’t accounting for our mole at Apple, S. Paul Jobs, tipping us off at the last minute. (Job well done, Jobs.) Available now on iTunes is “Pulled Fences,” a great midtempo number sung by bassist/keyboardist Kevin Whelan. The Wrens recorded it last year at Abbey Road Studio in London for satellite radio’s Live At The WorldSpace Sessions At Abbey Road. When we contacted Bissell to let him know that we aware of “Pulled Fences” and planned to stream it on our site, he had guitarist Greg Whelan (a former judge) hit us with a temporary restraining order. When we told Bissell that we have photos of a certain incident that occurred in the bathroom at the Khyber in Philly back in 1995, he promised that he would be providing Wrens Watch with “plenty” of exclusive audio for the MAGNET site in the very near future. Bissell also said that fans might want to go to the band’s website later today, as he and wrens.com webmaster William H. Gates are implementing some major changes. About freaking time.

Ok, mostly we’ll just finally be able to post & update stuff ourselves in a day-to-day sense and interact with you good folks who stop by. And we’ve got a whole host of things planned for here through the summer to hopefully give you more reason to stop by what ‘til now has largely been our version of a Western four-man ghost town.
Which should lead us up to some new muzak in the fall...
But more on all that shortly. In the meantime, relax, poke around a bit and stay in touch…and thanks as always.

NEW WRENS SONG! THE WRENS REALLY, FOR REAL, START RECORDING NEW ALBUM!!
We here at Absolutely Kosher Records are practically peeing in our pants with excitement to officially announce the commencement of recording for The Wrens fourth full length album. To kick off recording the band is offering up the new single, “Pulled Fences” digitally (available as of today!!!!). “Pulled Fences” was recorded at the historic and incomparable Abbey Road Studios for WORLDSPACE satellite radio in London England and marks the first time since 1999 that Charles, Kevin, Jerry and Greg were in one room working on new music together.
Additionally, 2009 marks The Wrens 20th anniversary as a band. Throughout The Wrens 20 years together it has been a secret challenge that if they we were ever able to play in a setting that seemed rather important like lets say, ABBEY ROAD!.... That they would have the guts to make up a brand new song on the spot... and that is exactly what happened with “Pulled Fences”. Keep in mind that this was a pretty precarious undertaking, given that the song was being broadcast over the internet, video-taped, and there was a small live audience in the room. Kevin had written “Pulled Fences” ahead of time, but Charles, Greg and Jerry had never seen the chords, or heard the song. What you hear in “Pulled Fences” is a first take. It was rather risky to say the least... which of course, made it that much better.
The album is schedule for release in late spring. And by "scheduled," we mean...fingers crossed.
Click on The Wrens page and scroll down to the bottom to purchase “Pulled Fences” from the webstore. The song is also available at The Wrens brand spanking new website, http://www.wrens.com
