I'll accept "Parklife" and to a lesser extent "Girls and Boys" being overplayed by meatheads but the other two singles and "This Is A Low" are in no way overplayed and in no way not good.

I know this isn't the singles list but i'd be perfectly happy if never heard "Smells Like Teen Spirit" again, i sometimes even skip it when listening to Nevermind.

You're proper the anti-me :)

Yeah, I'm a fucking comedian of note. And Bill is at a 311 concert. That's as good of an excuse as any, really.

I only listen to half the tracks on Parklife anymore. The rest has become shrill and unpleasant.

You really only need to own one 311 album, because really they are all the same. I suggest the self-titled one with "All Mixed Up" on it, if you must. I can't hate too much, thanks to 311 I made out with this incredibly gorgeous blonde from Omaha on Spring Break.

That's cool for you, but I CAN hate, because 311 never led me to any blondes... just a headache, and me shaking my fists at the speakers, cursing the sounds coming out...

I am not familiar with many of the records in this current goround, but I would just like to take a moment to thank the collective SOMBies for ranking Pear Jam, Soundgarden and other cliches of this era way below than I would have expected.

Wow, the higher we go, the more impressive the eventual placing of Master of Puppets looks.

Bless you for ratcheting up the suspense. A rare thing in these polls for us headbangers.

"Some Candy Talking" rules.

Hated Whitley's cover of that, haven't heard the original though.

I like how Mitchell cries about the lack of UK band respect, but then poops all over US bands that never translated big in the UK.

Cute, innit? But I don't want to single out Mitchell. This thread makes me hate everything and everyone... except Velocity and Dogear. They'll represent humanity on my ark.

^_^ Thanks. Something did go horribly, horribly wrong, didn't it.

I dunno...Loveless deserves to be there, I think. It's tough to pick which Pixies album is better, and Crooked Rain Crooked Rain over S & E is a cruel injustice. Love, one of the over 27 crowd who thinks Parklife is horrid.
