I thought there was a phase a while back where you would weigh in on movie discussions of upcoming movies with full-blown i-saw-it-months-ago-at-a-supersecret-private-screening reviews, and we would all scratch our heads and wonder how that was possible. It was long enough ago, though, that it might not have been you.

i'm gonna have to go against everyone here and say i hated hated hated this movie. it didn't help that i was really close to someone whose mother was an alcholic and was just entering rehab at the time. just watching billy bob as a huge alcoholic was more than unsettling to me and left me feeling really angry at what i had just seen. yet for some reason, since then, said mother has recovered 110%, yet do not have the desire to give this a second chance, despite tons of people i know loving it.
