i think it's otherwise, actually. i too thought about it, whether you begin to like "ok computer" more than "kid a" as you grow older. "kid a" is still in my top 5 albums of 00s. "ok computer" is somewhere around 12-15 spot. but i think i like "ok computer" more than "kid a", but i only figured that out fairly recently.

"After much thought into this, I have finally come to a conclusion as to why the ‘Meet the Spartans’ commercial is so funny:

It is an interesting choice to have Sanjaya sing ‘I’m not gay,’ as his final words on earth. As he is plummeting into a seemingly bottomless pit, he does not say ‘dear god no,’ ‘I love you mom,’ or even simply ‘argh.’ He instead takes the moment to reaffirm to the world, in spite of their doubts, that he is not a homosexual. Not only that, but he continues to sing, despite falling to his certain death. The distinct lack of plausibility of this situation is what produces giggles from our mouth. It is the antithesis to the belief that ‘it’s funny because it is true.’

Doesn't come into the remit of this poll. All will be clear when the lazy bones get up (I hope.)

If I'm being honest.....I have to say that I find Kid A to be a very mysterious record. It's also a record that's great for a variety of moods. I'm also a bit of a contrarion, so since OK Computer always gets "Best Record In the Universe" mentions, I'm going to instead go with the follow-up.

All that said, The Bends to OK Computer to Kid A to Amnesiac to Hail To The Thief.

That's a pretty good run.

Well, as the first voter of the under 21 crowd, I certainly feel young. I picked Kid A, I find it a really enchanting listen, with many more moments that make me want to drop whatever else I may be doing and just sit in awe when compared to OK Computer (still a spectacular album),

Hard one for sure. I think OK Computer's high points are better than Kid A's, but as an album, Kid A is one of the most cohesive visions I've ever listened to. I never listen to any part of Kid A without listening to the entire thing, and as a listening experience, it's my favorite, so I'm giving this to Kid A. Still incredibly difficult choice because both are so good.
