We're Coming Out), it is so trumped by the really "westerbergian stuff," in particular I Will Dare (a masterful piece of pop songwriting, this is what "meet the beatles" would have first sounded like if it came out after 1977) and especially "Androgynous," a tune so fucking brilliant and original I have no idea how to describe it.

I figured the board hasn't blown Westerberg and Co. in a few weeks, so what better time than now?

I passed on it at the Tower sale, as I already had way too many "blind buys" in my hands, and I continue to have a sneaking suspicion that I just won't like it

i had one of those too, kinda. i'd check it out. it's really solid, i dunno if it's the classic everyone makes it out to be, but westerberg is definitely a good songwriter.

Every song on this album is fantastic.
That is my opinion.

1. Take "Black Diamond", "Seen Your Video", "Gary's Got a Boner", and "Sixteen Blue" off of this album.
2. Take "Waitress in the Sky", "Swingin' Party", "Lay it Down Clown", and "Little Mascara" off of Tim.
3. Combine remaining tracks.

I think mb and tweed are confused. elastico's trying to make Let it Be better by taking away his 4 least favorite tracks and replacing them with his 4 favs from Tim. I kinda agree, although Let It Be really ought to be left alone. And how he could want to get rid of "Sixteen Blue" is beyond me.
