14 Boy least likely to - The Best Party Ever

Dude...2005

40 Field Music - Tones Of The Town

Dude...2007

I think Margot & the Nuclear So and So's and The Coral Sea also were first released in 2005, but got reissued in 2006.

Otherwise, looks awfully familiar. ;) And yet there's still a dozen or so on your list that I haven't heard of. Well done!

Yup, M&TNS&S was 2005 on a tiny label, practically self-released. I'll be voting for the 2006 Artemis re-release since it didn't place last year.

Mitchell's list is cool but #1 stands out glaringly as an album I still need to hear.

I have to say Mitch, I'm pretty dissapointed in your list. Usually you do much better( I'm alluding to the fact that you chopped off 19 votes - obviously for political purposes).

Do you really feel that this album:

22 45:33 LCD Soundsystem

Is superior to Neko Case's great effort?
Every Sunday morning I wake up
I see you by your dresser doing your make-up
Fluttering a Chinese fan in a Knoxville fashion
All last night you tossed and turned
Your body was hotter than the night Richmond burned
You say you had a bad nightmare about tractor trailers crashing
- The Felice Brothers

86 lilys - everything wrong is imaginary

haha, cool. It was kinda disheartening to have my #1 not even show up on anyone else's list at all.
Aren't there any girls out their who like good music? I need to and want to meet them. My favorite bands are Overkill River, The Nife, Songs:Ohio, and Nuetral Milk Hotel. Please let me know if your into indy music and like to go to show's and drink beer's and makeout.

1. Gil Mantera's Party Dream - Bloodsongs
32. Andrew W.K. - Close Calls With Brick Walls

The first and the last albums on your list basically are reason enough for me to like it. Especially the AWK. I expect us to be the only two to be voting for it, sadly.

Yeah, that's why I placed it so low. Kind of a political non-waste of a good vote. But then, my #2 has no chance in hell of placing either. Oh well.

Jenny Lewis was in my Top 20, haven't really paid attention to other placings though. Seems like that lost a lot of steam.

yeah, Jenny Lewis will make my top 10 if not my top 5, but i don't see it finishing well, overall. she should have anticipated this when she opted to release her album back in January. artists need to think of the SOMB year-end poll more when they decide to release albums.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Way to go, Darkness and Lindsay Lohan. December? Idiots! I totally could have rallied the troops and gotten you on the list last year with September releases. (rofl)

I dunno, I've seen the album on quite a few lists. I definitely think Ms. Lewis will be top 30, at least.

I wish I had heard The Slip before I voted. Damn my trigger-happy ways. edit: my bad on the double post, but I thought it automatically combined the posts.
