Does anyone find themselves on Sunday evenings anxious to see their updated Last.fm profile for the week so you can see what you've been listening to for the past 7 days? This is sickening.

How is that going for you? I'm really interested in how much Animal Collective I've packed in this week.

I want to see who wins this week. Pretty sure it's down to Low or Ryan Adams. I'm very impatient right now.

Had any nasty malware since using FM?
Every Sunday morning I wake up
I see you by your dresser doing your make-up
Fluttering a Chinese fan in a Knoxville fashion
All last night you tossed and turned
Your body was hotter than the night Richmond burned
You say you had a bad nightmare about tractor trailers crashing

Run "spybot search and destroy" (it's free) and let me know what you get:

My most played artists this week were Led Zeppelin and AC/DC, followed by GENGHIS TRON.

Damo Suzuki: So, um, yeah. Getting older isn't as bad as it sounds. Better than being young & poor (DjDrake) or young & slutty (SG) or young, poor and slutty (Paves); am I right?

Alright, my friends. It's time for another solid little rock jam

Haven't run it in awhile, so I got some spyware, all Firefox cookies. Is there a specific process you think it's running?

GENGHIS TRON.

Possibly winantivirus (some nasty malware).

I'm not talking about FM, but rather hack bots using the opening.

To answer the topic of this thread, I think technology has been great as an enabler to hear new music and to discover new bands, but it also dampers the emotional connection people have with music. Your favorite albums are the ones you've spent months or years listening to, most likely. Nowadays, an album is forgotten about or dismissed after its leaked, it seems. Is there any correlation between that and the thoughts that 2006 has been a down year for music? People don't make time to sit and listen to a disc for an extended period of time (not days or weeks) because there's always something new to listen to. So yeah, a mixed blessing of sorts I feel...

I'm young enough to have found my favorite albums through file-sharing. If something hits you hard enough, you make time for it.

Maybe I am just an old curmudgeon, but just from seeing some guy's comments in the Bloc Party thread about after three days of listening, declaring the album to be a 'grower' made me shake my head in astonishment. I mean...it won't hit stores for another two months. The rush to have an opinion about something 'first' so you can move on to the next thing is killing music almost the same as the technology.
