Yo La Tengo - Painful

Well, it doesn't fly with the first batch of records I cited...with the posible exception of Alien Lanes...which is pretty much awesome.
FUCK! It's -11 out right now...I almost need gloves while I type.

So are you saying track 3's are the best songs on the album, or just good-ass solid tracks?
Hmmmm, I guess more of the latter--but occasionally the former. That would be tough to sort out, I guess.

I've recently discovered that it's all about track 1. In fact if track 1 fails to draw me in, screw the whole record.
very true, though there must be exceptions.

As do I.Ah! I have similar theory about Track 2!
Again, yes, very true, with very few exceptions.

Damo Suzuki: So, um, yeah. Getting older isn't as bad as it sounds. Better than being young & poor (DjDrake) or young & slutty (SG) or young, poor and slutty (Paves); am I right?
Alright, my friends. It's time for another solid little rock jam

I used to live by the Track Four Theory. Especially with Metallica: can't fuck with Fade to Black/Sanitarium/One.Nah, dude, it's track four.
Funnily enough, Bad Mouth is proper my fave tune on that disc. Track three.I just think that, you know--once you run the numbers--the percentage of truly awesome tracks 3 will edge out any other conventional track number, say on an album of up to 13 songs...tough I can't speak authoritatively as to whether this is actually the case with 13 Songs...I'm tempted to say it's not.
