I'll be in the balcony at the Friday show, making my companions angry as I go on & on about seeing them for $9 at the bottle.

What are the scumbags scalping these for today? I heard some brokers were asking $250/per before the onsale occurred... This is bringing back bad memories of the Radiohead shows at the Auditorium last summer.

I paid through the nose for those Radiohead tix. I can't figure out how exactly scalpers will get around the will call only restrictions for Arcade Fire. But I'm sure they'll figure it out.

don't be fooled, i don't think AF tickets will be in such high demand, especially as the dates approach. as i've said before, i bet one could walk up on the day of and get tix for face value or less. best to wait it out and/or entertain reasonable offers only.

He's talking about tickets someone would actually want. Sure, you might pick up a nosebleed seat for face.

For those who missed out on Chicago posters, news from the OMG Posters! blog:

Burlesque Design will release their four Arcade Fire posters from the current tour today. They will only be sold as a set, and they will cost $120. The sets will come with matching numbers, and each poster has an edition of 1000. I don't have official jpegs of the posters yet, so here are the Expressobeans links. To purchase, visit BurlesqueDesign.com today (July 23) at 2pm CST.

I'm down with that. I'll buy the poster for every show I attend assuming it looks good, and rarely if ever buy posters for shows I didn't attend. The restriction is as much about controlling the budget floodgate as saying "I was there." It's tempting to start buying other show prints and, even more dangerously, art prints.

Do you people actually hang the posters on a wall? They certainly usually look pretty cool, but I can't see the need for more than one or two

I spend too much on the posters themselves to afford frames. Maybe someday.
