I stole that from CDVAUGHT I think was his name. sorry dude for not getting it right maybe.
anyway, this Radical Face disc does everything it tries to so well. the whole disc sounds like a memory. thick arrangements, nice use of percussion. I've come to the conclusion that if you mixed Somme Stof som Stof and Funeral you would get something similar to Ghost (um...the name of the cd).
If I was going to pick someone to like this I might say Red try this out, maybe Bobzilla. paves will hate it. it will grow on Dr. Jimmy, yancy wont download it and sausage will make a jizzing on a face comment or something. check it out the rest of you also. a bit of a grower I think, it seems (ha I would have no idea, just listened to it twice in a row) but it's good. if pitchfork ever reviews it they will give it an 8.4
sweet.

nice use of percussion
The most important part. It's singer/songwriterish but not afraid to use some fucking drums and be EXCITING.

This is pretty much all OTM. I've been playing this on repeat for the past two days. The only thing that is going to get in the way of it now is the new Feist. Just a fantastic album.i loved this on the first listen, and haven't been able to stop playing it since. the whole thing is put together so well and I love how the noise integrates with the music. there's a lot of build up too - it's really pretty.

God, tell me about it. The over-lapping vocals on this song are just so beautiful. This CD actually does make me homesick (as corny as that sounds... whatever fuck you).Welcome Home, Son 13 times in a row, lol
Today was such a good day for music. Radical Face, New Wilco tracks, and the new Feist. I don't know what to listen to next.

honestly this one is a pretty tough one to describle. flurishes of arcade fire, grizzly bear, sigur ros (that ones a bit of a stretch) under byen, and a wispy voice (unlike sujan but very precious and sinscere). it is really FULL singer songwriter. some great tunes to sing along to.

I like the clapping and knee hitting on track 2.

I agree that it's hard to describe - just d/l it, you'll be happy.
to me it sounds whole. fulfilling. (i know that sounds lame, but it doesn't leave me wanting more of anything - the lyrics are on, the music is perfect.)

i think it could be said that the singer's voice is similar to animal collective.
You're damn right it could. That's the first thing that came to mind when i first gave this a listen.
The best comparison so far has been Grizzly Bear, but even that doesn't come all that close. Imagine Animal Collective if they decided to make dreamy bedroom pop instead of schizoid weirdness, and you would be close. Then mix in some occasional ambient. And wind chimes.
Interestingly, some of this brings to mind another "radical" artist, that artist being Radicalfashion. Odori is another stunning record, which also really nailed the whole kitchen sink vibe, except it was more of an ambient album. If it had vocals, though, it might have sounded a lot like this.
Anyways, this is really good. I give it the Philoctetes seal of approval. And something that hasn't been mentioned: the lyrics are, for the most part, exceptionally good. Personal fav:
i closed my eyes and saw my father's sins
they cover me like a second skin
i pealed them off and sure i bled a bit
but now i'm free to sink my own damn ship
