meant to add revisited to title...anyways, adding one for teevee here as well. any good trekkie will remember Stardate 1513.1 (The Man Trap). Premise: big ugly monsters look like your beautiful ex...but only to you. towards the end, Nancy (big ugly monster) is sucking the life out of Capt. Kirk and Bones is letting it go on because to him it looks like his baby. Spock walks in and demands Bones shoot the fucker. Bones can't do it so Spock clasps both of his hands over his shoulder and startsa swinging. With each punch he drops a line "if this was Nancy" poof, "would she" bam, "be able to take this".

It always sticks in my head because it's a moment where Madeleine Carroll's character is upset with John Gielgud and slaps his face. reagan whales on her mom, mid-possession, in the exorcist. actually, the one that really hit her was the director, bill friedkin. and boy was the actress (name escapes me; played the mom in 'requiem for a dream'; won an oscar, if i'm not mistaken) pissed, as he slugged her pretty hard and she actually was injured when it happened.
