Added these to the folder today:
Nightmares On Wax-Thought So

I picked this up at Amoeba yesterday. Dude's kind of been losing me a bit since Carboot Soul. I liked In a Space Outta Sound ok, and if you liked that, you'll like this one OK. But there's a predictable, smooth R and B breakbeat samey-ness to many of the tracks. "Calling" is reminiscent of "Les Nuits," which of course is favorable, and the raggamuffin scritch dub on "Hey! Ego" is a good closer. Let's say 6.8/10.

How the heck do you expect to properly digest these in the next few months?

Is your EOY list going to be filled with albums you only heard once or twice?

That's been year-round. Most of those are already digested and shat out. Most will obviously not make the list. The ones I just added (the 2nd list), I'm about half done deleting the crap.

Not really. And 13th Floor is commercial, watered down west coast hippie bullshit which sadly inflicted most American rock acts at the time.

See, the words "just added" implied to me that you just downloaded those records, and hence, haven't heard them. And, yeah, I know people put shit they only heard once or twice on their list all the time, Rufus. Doesn't mean that's a good thing.

Sort of, yeah...Those are albums that had September release dates. I listened to a couple of them from people I specifically liked (like, say...Calexico or Ben Folds).

I'm listening to music pretty much all day, so it moves along pretty quick. I'm well past halfway done.

What's left:

Ben Folds-I Made It Up On Stage
Ben Folds-Way To Normal
Calexico-Carried To Dust
Damien Jurado-Caught In The Trees
Damon Albarn & Jamie Hewlett-Monkey-Journey To The West
Dar Williams-Promised Land
Dead Confederate-Wrecking Ball
Enigma-Seven Lives Many Faces
Eric Benet-Love And Life
Everlast-Love War and the Ghost of Whitey Ford
Garaj Mahal-W00t
Giant Sand-Provisions
High Tone-Underground Wobble
Holly Golightly-Dirt Don't Hurt
Home and Garden-Domesticated
Jenny Lewis-Acid Tongue
Joan Osborne-Little Wild One
Johnny Cash-Remixed
Kasey Chambers-Rattlin' Bones
Kimya Dawson-Alphabutt
Kings Of Leon-Only By The Night
Metallica-Death Magnetic
Mogwai-The Hawk Is Howling
New Year-ST
Nightmares On Wax-Thought So
Nine Inch Nails-The Slip

Some I haven't hit at all, some I've deleted some tracks from, and some I know I like a bunch of (Ben Folds, Calexico, Nine Inch Nails). I listened to Dead Confederate once. It seemed alright, I'll hit it again soon.
