Sister Hell's thread got me thinking about the fact that I haven't made a mix cd in a long time. I cobbled together all my 2008 mp3s and made a quick mix, which I will post here:

how's this for arts and crafts?
(link)

1. British Sea Power - All In It
2. The Game - Big Dreams
3. Why? - Good Friday
4. Deerhunter - Agoraphobia
5. Evangelicals - Bellawood
6. Weezer - Troublemaker
7. Cheap Time - People Talk
8. Silver Jews - Party Barge
9. Ruby Suns - Tane Mahuta
10. No Age - Teen Creeps
11. Lil Wayne - Let the Beat Build
12. Ratatat - Falcon Jab
13. The Show is the Rainbow - How Do You Spell Success?
14. Glasvegas - It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry
15. Titus Andronicus - Upon Viewing Brueghel's "Landscape With the Fall of Icarus"
16. Dr. Dog - Hang On
17. British Sea Power - No Lucifer
18. Envelopes - Party
19. Lil Wayne - 3Peat
20. Best Fwends - Skate or Live
21. Weezer - Pig
22. Gowns - What if Not You

I'm interested in seeing what others have discovered this year. I've heard a lot of great music, but seem to be caught in that "indie rut" even moreso than usual this summer. I'd really love to hear a good hip hop or dance mix.

It probably wasn't the best idea to post this at 9 on a Thursday, during the NBA finals...

I'll put one up later, maybe. I haven't made a mix in forever either, but I can't think of any 2008 music I've listened to.

I made a physical cd for the car. I'm ripping it now, I'll upload it, and then I'll try to post a track list when I'm not watchin tv.

Now Playing: ~295 on SOMB alltime fave list

SOMB is on a roll this week!
I think I'm more excited about listening to some of these mixes than by anything that has popped up in the fishnets lately.
Something about trusting to the tastes of complete strangers?
