I was 16 in 2005 and i'm sorry but you are wrong. Leeds that year was the best of all the years i've been to, and for the first time it was cool to be interested in modern music instead of Hendrix and fucking Dylan.
It probably helps that i thought the Libertines were excellent in their day.
no disrespect meant, but if you were only 16 in 2005 you don't have enough life experience to say when the first time it was cool to be interested in modern music, presumably since hendrix & dylan were starting out in your example. & leeds is one of the worst festivals for peddling populist bands anyway
not that things being cool is a measure of quality in any way
