Even though it took a few listens to get into Flash Delirium, I like it. I liked the stranger songs on the last album and totally dug Metanoia, so maybe that's why. If they wanted to go the poppy Kids route or the direction it looks like they chose on the new album, I'd be along for the ride because I think they can craft a damn fine tune.

that new song has some decent hooks. it's probably better than the crappy filler that oracular spectacular was mostly composed of, but it certainly isn't as good as the singles.

Not liking the new song, man those lyrics are painful.

On one hand I applaud MGMT for resisting the urge to lazily cater to fans of "Kids" and "Electric Feel." Then again, as one of those people (and who thought those were the only worthwhile songs on their debut,) I can't help but listen to these new tracks as a giant "fuck you" for expecting more singles in that vein.
Oh well, there goes any shred of interest i had in this.

great song! If the name of the game is 'singles' for an artist to get big, I think MGMT have secured themselves as a force for 2010

This song is unremarkable in every single way. 100% bonafide album filler material.

Agreed...they should be building on and expanding the sound they nailed so well on their great singles...this sounds like a regression. Disappointing.

I love the idea behind this as I almost always listen to albums as a whole. But if they really felt that way then why would they just release one song like this? It doesn't seem to support the 'listen to this as an album' claim.
