His new film, he has that accent down pat. Always seems very convincing in his films. Is he the modern De Niro? Has not really been in a classic film that I know off LA Confidential was weak to me. Probably THe Insider is my favorite film from him.

The Insider is definitely the best indication that he could be great, but yeah, he phones it in a lot of time. It's particularly fun to see him in Virtuosity now.

I wonder who will get top billing on American Gangster. Him or Denzel. I feel denzel should but yu know Russles ego is so huge. I feel Denzel is the best actor since the prime of De Niro/Pacino and Hackman, but RUssell run him close.

Even though he's been consistently strong in a string of half-assed movies, Denzel belongs in this conversation more than Crowe.

i enjoy some of crowe's work and the insider is a favorite, but this is the best actor working today....possibly the best american actor in the history of hollywood:
