I was supposed to leave work an hour ago, but someone decided to call at 8:57 and if I don't answer the call I'd most likely get in trouble. So I've got to run windows updates for someone because she's "annoyed by the pop up reminders" from our company's update software. Thank god I'm hourly.

My impression was that the purchases aren't being made rationally--they're like an artifact of her disorder.
I may be disordered by morning. A toilet downstairs is running 15 seconds each minute and shutting off with a jolt. Assholes must be out of town.

Well the average life sentence is about 9 years before the first parole hearing so you aren't far off.
As for the second point that's the difference between the US and Europe. Pretty sure most European countries don't fancy being lectured by the US on justice ta very much. I'd be quite happy to swap Megrahi for Gary McKinnon.
and of course he didn't do it, everyone knows that. I'm not at all one for the tin hat brigade but it's common knowledge that things would have been revealed at a later court date mentioning Iran and Syria. I'm most disappointed that the appeal got dropped in order to prove that over anything else really.

I thought it had something to do with the European spelling of the words. Like "favourite" and such. That's just a guess though. And I imagined "bastards" was probably synonymous with "basterds" in German.

Been troubled lately by the seemingly purposeful brand confusion of movie titles lately. The Final Destination came out this weekend, which is apparently a sequel Final Destination. Both Halloween and Friday the 13th have started counting from the beginning again, Halloween 2 having just come out and Friday the 13th 2 in the works. And my personal favorite, Fast and Furious, which is a sequel to The Fast and the Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious. Five years from now one's going to be able to tell these movies apart from each other. I'm trying to figure out what this says about Hollywood today but have nothing conclusive.
