I realized I have an oral fixation... When I was younger I would suck my thumb, then I would chew on stuff a lot (our monopoly set has like 10 cards that don't have corners that haven't been gnawed), the past few years I have been going through gum like crazy. Now I'm kind of worried I will move on to smoking. I've smoked a few cigars and a fair amount of other stuff, but lately I've been finding myself wanting to just puff away...
Who knows how to deal with one of these bitches?
Don't worry too much, sometimes a Cigar is just a Cigar.

We got sued for like half a million dollars. They said that one of our products made their moo cows sick. There was something like 21 days of testimony, eight hours of that was me on the stand. We countersued for the money this company owed us. It was a bench trial (no jury) and the judge took like 2 months to render a verdict. Their case got dismissed, our countersuit won.
Very mixed emotions for my boss who basically spent the last year and a half devoting his life to this case while his son who probaby needed his attention didn't really get it. For those of you who don't know, his 16 year old son committed suicide this past April.

I believe it. We raised goats when I was a kid. They are very, very smart and affectionate, and all things good. Those stories about them eating cans and smelling and being gross are very misleading.
I was being sincere in my earlier praise.

How would you rate the similarities of a goat raising environment between NW Indiana and the north side of Downers Grove?
biggie mcsmalls
Jun 19 2007, 03:09 PM
Not sure.
We had five acres for them to run around on, and they lived in a barn.
Do you have a barn?
Having things for them to climb on is a must. We had many tree stumps, etc. for them to play on.
ladytron: the tv series
Jun 19 2007, 03:12 PM
No, but we have a very large walk-out basement. Plus there's a baseball field down the street. And a big field, river, and forest a couple hundred feet behind our house. We also have a deck. Im sure they can climb on that.

Jun 19 2007, 03:15 PM
You'd need a large fenced in area (at least a backyard) that it could tear shit up in once in a while. They like to run and bounce around to blow off steam.
Be warned that they will climb on anything, as it is in their nature. Any piece of furniture will be fair game, tables, etc. They are also exceptional jumpers. They can jump fairly high from a stand-still, so any ledge-type places in your home would be attractive to them (like a counter).
I honestly would not recommend one as a house pet, because I don't think it would be fair to the goat.

They are beautiful creatures.
You know how you see mountain goats butting heads and stuff in TV specials? Our goats would do that with us when they are kids, as a form of playing. It was awesome. They would run up to you at full speed, stop on a dime, rear up, and then lightly tap their heads against yours. It was cool because if they were playing with each other, it would be very rough, but with a person they were very gentle, and took care not to hurt you. Very intelligent and perceptive animals. Huge personalities, as well.

I have a weird summer work schedule, so some weekdays I dont have to go into work. These days I usually sit around and watch Days of Our Lives. But a few days ago, I caught Martha Stewart's show. She gave her kids miniature donkeys for their birthdays. I thought "man, what a great gift'. Becase the pictures were hilarious and adorable.
