edit: when i worked at the mart, i was working on a 300pg book that needed to be overnighted to our selection committee. only the software and all three comps i used crashed at the same time. dhl and kinkos to the rescue. gave the bo oks to dhl at like 830 pm, they got them across the country within 10 hrs. twas awesome.

Yeah DHL is pretty great, but our company only seems to want to use FedEx.
so did merchandise mart, but we just expensed it. shrug. wasnt my money. you should make a presentation as to why fedex is the bonerz (meaning it sucks) and dhl is the shit (meaning its awesome).
I'm heading to the Cultural Center to see Baby Teeth for free at 12:15. Any of you kids working downtown want to join me? Even if you don't want to join me, you should go. 
If my boss was out today I'd take a long lunch and head downtown for Baby Teeth. Alas, I must pretend to work.

So, the Baby Teeth show was very bizarre. The band was great, but it was really weird because it was in the café part of the cultural center so there were old people and tourist eating sandwiches while they were playing. There was an elderly couple in front of us who couldn't agree on whether they should stay or go. The wife with a very thick moustache wanted to go, but the husband was loving it. They were also with some even more elderly woman passed out over her walker. I talked to Abraham after the show and we had a good laugh over the setting/audience. He described it as regal.
Anyhow, like I said, the band was good. Most of the songs were off of The Simp and despite the weirdness audience people seemed to be getting into it. The people next to me started really getting into the chair dancing when they played "Looking For a Road." Personally, I enjoyed the one-two punch of "Diaghalev Was Right" and "The Birds Are Crying." So, yeah, good show. You punks missed it.

same here. 5th(!) rainout of the season. on the flip side, i have gotten to see 48 lightning strikes while driving home the last 2 days.
