Having just recently got an Ipod, I found the podcasts of Sound Opinions and starting downloading them. The show itself airs to early for me to bother waking up to hear it in Minneapolis. Anyways... pretty cool show, they seem to throw pretty much everything under the category of "rock and roll"... I've never heard the term so loosely thrown around. But it is a good show. The one genre I never hear them reviewing anything for is country. Have they ever done country albums in the past? I'm not meaning the latest Toby Keith or Kenny Chesney album or anything like that, but more the alt country and beneath the surface type of country.

Just curious.

Anyways, I enjoy the show.

Rocks And Blows
Greg hates it. And Jim hates you, himself and everything else.

But that's Jim's charm. One of my favorite moments ever on the show was hearing him talk about how much he hates summer & going to the beach. Who the fuck hates summer, especially in Chicago? Classic.
Rob Gordon
A good show but no country...well, a bit of alt. country/americana once in awhile but nothing out of the Nashville crap machine.

Well, Jim likes to rip on Ryan Adams, if that's what you mean.

Greg and Jim spend way too much time reviewing rap albums. I think Jim secretly wants to be black
Beetlebum
yeah he is totally acting like a mool lately.
Al Strowger
Perhaps country is outside their core expertise. I imagine, much like anything else, it is pretty difficult to analyze a type of music with out a broad base of knowledge.

I don't like summer that much either.

Mostly rap albums where the artist is from Chicago. I don't mind it though. It keeps me aware of more of what's out there.
