I know the Lips have a release coming...what about Wilco? A good Wilco Versus the Flaming Lips battle would be nostalgic..

Coyne's big plastic bubble vs. Tweedy's ego

Geez is Tweedy's ego really that big when compared to the majority of rock stars? I would think not.

Coyne really annoys me live with his "C'mon everybody" he's like an oversexed Richard Simmons getting people to participate over and over again. I love the Soft Bulletin but overall Wilco is the better band. They don't need balloons, fake blood or confetti.
A ghost is born has really grown on me and I like it second best right behind Yankee.

Yeah, but wouldn't it be cool if they used them anyway? Oooh, and the girls dancing while dressed as giant cartoon bunnies!

did they ever get around to releasing the movie about Christmas? I had read about it in Magnet... looked over the top...
here's a bit of trivia... what does the song "morning of the magicians' reference in a literary context? the winner gets my eternal gratitude and admiration unless of course I like you whereupon I will buy you a drink.

fine I'll be the first to say it:
Room on Fire = Soft Bulletin = Summerteeth
i kind of see them as equals. (as far as how awesome they are, not how "important" they are"
i probably listen to Room on Fire more than the other two.

As far as thread goes: I don't even see Wilco/Flaming Lips as being comparable. Live or in the studio. Who is the better band? Who knows. Up to you.
