So are they better up close, or is it all the same standing farther back? I need to strategize if/when I bail the LCD Soundsystem set to get a spot for Daft Punk at Lolla

I cannot reiterate it enough. If you have not seen Daft Punk, do your soul a favor and go see them. If it's sold out, find a way. Daft Punk at Coachella might rank as one of the top 5 moments in the history of Earth.

Get up close. As close as possible. THEY'RE FRENCH ROBOTS IN A PYRAMID. You can't just hang back and watch them from the lawn seats.

BAD ADVICE! Stay at least 100-200 feet back so you can see the full spectacle but still be in the thick of the dancing frenzy. Being at the very front is not the ideal place for this show as the performers are way up high and aren't doing much anyways.

As the only person at the entire festival who'll be getting close for Satellite Party, I'll already be at Daft Punk's stage an hour early. Just have to avoid the temptation of running across the field for LCD.

Key word here, "some". But lets not compare the 2007 world wide ticket sales leader with a guy doing nothing on stage with a computer.

I love it when people who obviously don't need sales to validate the music they love (Montana's top ten so far list) point to sales in their arguments.

You're trying too hard to make "Too try-hard" a catch phrase. Stick with the classics like "too adult contemporary", "sounds like soccer mom music" and "We've got two words for ya".
