Glowing review over at stylus today, but I can't really tell from reading it whether I'd like this stuff. Review was all over the place. Who's got the lowdown? NME hypepiece or the real deal?

I listened to the entire double-CD on Rhapsody last night, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Lots of variety, lots of "let's see if this works" fucking around that's been missing from British music since the late 90s peak of Beta Band, Radiohead, Spiritualized, et al. The comparisons to late 80s British music are apt as well, i.e. Madchester.

I enjoyed the first one / two, whatever. This latest album is doing very little for me though. I don't recommend it at all.
