Okay, Kasaya is just setting themselves up for a big time screw job. Of course Bobby was going to flip if he ever made it to the merge, but you just got rid of your strongest player. I also love how the whole Shane-Aras-Courtney alliance is crumbling to pieces. I hate those arrogant alliances that make it known that they're allied and walk around camp thinking they're the shit. Obviously these people have never seen any of the previous seasons. I don't have any favorite players yet, but Shane is cracking me up more and more every week.

I kind of think that Austin dude is pretty cool. He's like the thinking man's Bobby John.
That Courtney bitch needs to go, and soon.
Agreed that it was a big mistake to get rid of Bobby. "Hey, this guy just single handedly destroyed the other tribe, and won all this food for us. Let's get rid of him because he took a dump in the outhouse and drank a bottle of wine." Typical Survivor nonsense, but I am hooked nonetheless.
We've nicknamed Shane "Nictotine."

I'm really bummed out that they let the audience in on the fact that he found it. Would have been a lot more fun to keep us in suspense along with the cast.

I dunno, I'd rather know now, rather than have it pulled out of nowhere. It will make a good angle later on to cover knowing that he has it. If someone figures out that he does have it, how much of a chance do they have of going to the final with him? Will they bond with his votes, or will he just tell that person to shove off?

I don't know. I trust the editors of Survivor. There must be a good reason why they're letting the audience in on this now instead of later. Remember when Gary found the hidden idol last year? We didn't find out till that tribal council and it was obvious that he might have been going home that night. In that case it provided the most excitement and I think the road they're going this time will probably make for the best television when it's all over.

Right on. That dude is off his rocker. There's no way that alliance is staying intact. There is so much more potential for conflict this season than last...where that big dumb guy was about the only one stirring the pot.

The thing both teams have done well is their choice of who they keep sending to Exile Island. The less people who have the chance to get the idol, the better. Don't be surprised if Bruce and Terry just keep on heading back.

Ah, but they did throw a monkey wrench in there by having the winning team pick the exiled person, thereby saving Sally's ass and leaving the team no choice but to off Dan. That was probably the most dignified banishment from the island in the series run.

Alright, the season just officially got interesting. It looked as if all the ex La Mina players were done, but with Terry holding the immunity idol and using it as a bargaining chip, oh man. He seemed so pathetic last week trying to get Cirie and Shane to flip, but those guys in the editing studio are really starting to make think the pot is about to boil over. After about 20 something days, I've finally decided who my favorite players are. I like Cirie, because, well she's Cirie and she's very funny and likeable and no one really expected her to last this long. And it's not as if she's been under the radar because she was definitely trying to play the game when she thought she might have been the next one to go earlier in the game. And kudos to Aras to being one of the few people on the former Kasaya who has showed any common sense. It's a shame he won't even sniff the final four.

I'm kind of torn on Terry letting the cat out of the bag with the idol.
On one hand it's bad because all the cards are played. They just keep gunning for him and effectively vote him off twice.
On the other hand, that's easier said than done, because now they know he's got it and can protect himself or anyone else he wants, and the second place vote getter is gonna get the axe. How do you try to strategize for that? Do you just say fuck it, and vote like the idol doesn't exist for a couple councils to get it played and out of the game, or do you try somehow to vote around it?
Pretty crazy.

It was smart on Terry's part to hold on to it. Would it have been beneficial for the remaining La Mina players? Somewhat. But ya gotta remember that this is an individual game. Terry can hold on to that sucker right until the final four, which by that time, the strongest player around might be Shane. Terry would have a strong shot at running the table and winning those immunity challenges and placing himself in the final two. Right now, the numbers aren't in his advantage. If Aras was voted out, so what? It's still 5 against 3. The numbers might sway their way once Bruce and Danielle realize they're not getting any further than 5th. This is the most exciting the game has been for a few seasons.
Angrimorfee
Apr 7 2006, 01:19 PM
He should have kept quiet about the Idol. At some point, he's going to need it if he happens to lose a competition, because the remaining players would want him removed pronto since he's the strongest player. He could have conceivably owned the rest of the season (granted, it may not have made an exciting conclusion, but of course that remains to be seen).
OT: Lee just might make it on The Apprentice just for being Jewish.

Just a fantastic episode last night. I love it when they do those questionaire challenges and somebody's feelings end up getting hurt. Not only that, we get one of the more memorable moments in Survivor history where Bruce is writhing around in pain and has to be taken out of the game. As hard as it is to believe, Shane gets even more crazier, Cirie finally won a challenge, and Terry has yet to use the immunity idol. I mean, wow, just too many great moments. And how fucking funny was it that Aras was the only member of Casaya participating in the challenge? These last episodes should be nothing short of amazing. Kudos to Casaya for sticking together this long, but I can't wait till they start turning on each other, before or after Terry leaves.

Cerie and Terry will make it to Final 2. Terry will pull out his Immunity Idol to save his ass to get to this point. But Cerie will win the jury's vote for her cunning, because no one will want Terry to win just for his brawn alone (and he will continue the "Win the car, lose the $1M" curse).

Between the immunity idol and the win streak, Terry's going top 2, definitely.
No way do Shane or Courtney vote for any of the people that sold them out. And when the Cirie-Aras-Danielle trio start voting each other off, they'll turn on each other, too.
Don't forget how people vote tend to vote for whoever they thought played the game best, and that Bruce is going to get to be in on that final vote.
Cirie's looking to take someone to the two she can beat handily. She'll try to keep Danielle around. She'll vote for Aras this week.
Terry's still pissed at Danielle. He'll vote for Danielle this week.
Danielle thinks she and Cirie are sisters. She'll vote for Aras.
Aras is the wild card. His vote will swing this week. I think he'll vote for Danielle, since she poses more of a threat to beat him at the last challenge than Cirie does.
FROM THERE:
Cirie loses the next challenge, and Terry and Aras go to the final.
My money's on Aras, since people dig him, he didn't orchestrate the coups, and Terry's been a tool. (And people will rationalize that he's already won a car.)
