For those who were around during the final breaths of the last incarnation of the board, you may have notice that I started a thread titled "Hip Hop Ballads". After a few unsuccessful attempts (and a few other parodies), this thread remained a mystery....until now.
Okay, maybe it's not that much of a mystery. I was thinking about making a hip hop ballad mix CD (introspective, soulful, mournful), but before I moved any further, I want to make sure that I'm not forgetting anything. I'm swinging for Waveland Ave. with this one, five and a half-star quality if you know what I'm saying. Here was the list of songs that I was originally going to post. This is also the kind of vibe I'm going for. Any suggestions/comments would be a great help.

It would have to be some dark PM Dawn. I can't think of anything that they've done that would fit with my vision.

I think of "Hate It Or Love It" as an anthem more than a ballad, but whatever works for your purposes is cool.

I like the one from last year where it's all smooth and shit and then Lil' Jon comes in screaming his head off about putting his dick in it. Well, don't like it as much as find it funny.

i'm glad this is Hip-Hop ballards as I can't think of many things worse than a box set of R&B ballards. You know the one that's always the third single.
