Top TV Shows from 2007:
(these are in order)
'American Idol'
'Dancing With the Stars'
'Deal or No Deal'
'The View'
'Hannah Montana'
'Days of Our Lives'
'Lost'
'Big Brother 8'
'Grey's Anatomy'
'The Sopranos'
Only (IMO) 2 good dramas in the list. I wonder what the list will look like in years to come) I think these writers picked the right time to strike. If they were to wait any longer, no one would notice.

I guess I should've said that the list was from an AOL ratings poll.
Yeah, "Days" is fairly dramatic, but I was thinking "Lost", actually.

I love the dramatic promo that NBC has been running.
"A NEW YEAR... FOUR NEW SHOWS... AMERICAN GLADIATORS, THE BIGGEST LOSER: COUPLES EDITION, THE CELEBRITY APPRENTICE, [SOME CRIME DRAMA]... ALL NEW!"

^damn that's depressing.
I miss the writers. The beginning of the year was great with all the good new shows and older shows with good seasons. When the strike ends, the world will be a better place.

See now this thread should be about the stellar performance of Conan since his show came back writer-less. I propose a hijack.

So pissed I missed it last night. I'll be shaving my strike beard tonight out of grief.

I think Conan has been more entertaining without writers.

but if his show is successful w/o the writers isn't he screwing them over?

No. I mean, he can't help but be brilliant.

All you have to do is look at the network TV lineups & a majority of the movies that get released to realize the writers should stay on strike.

The whole point of my thread was to re-point out the obvious. The days of TV dramas are numbered, and reality shows are not hurting for popularity.
Thank God for the once a year Twilight Zone marathon.

Dream on.... or maybe you think all those people subscribe to HBO to see the movies they bought on DVD three months ago. There will always be a place for drama on TV - maybe not on the networks, but counting on "reality" programming to last as the dominant form of entertainment shows an ignorance of trend history that is almost scary.
