Anyway, I'm checking out Laughter's an Asshole, it's interesting but I don't really like it so far. Too many annoying moments. But I've already found a track I really like "Smile for Me" so It'll bring me back to reevaluate.

I'll average your two wise predictions and place my bet with 37.5 pages ... Avec, you might like "See you in your Ears" more.. the songs have less of what I think you mean by the "annoying moments"...

I sort of enjoy that aspect though... the song will be going beautifully and it will be so great and then something will happen that throws that feeling off.. Makes it feel like real human product or something

I'm starting to grow into this guy.

i've spent most of my day listening to these three albums and i love him. sure some of his stuff is pretty stupid but when he's on he's on.
and lately with my ipods i will skip a song within 15 seconds if i don't like it, but quinn draws me in, even if some of his songs don't get started for a minute or so.

okay, this seals the deal... i'm in love with Quinn Walker. this one might be better than the newest stuff...

it looks like the albums were packaged together and released with a wide distribution (amazon, itunes) on January 29th. that's about all i can find though...

I am pretty sure he just has laughter's an asshole/lion land out for sale. The other two albums (which I think are a lot better) are just being passed around by people. My friend burned me about 8 of his albums.. the older ones have some good stuff on them but I don't find them nearly as good as any of these last 4.

Yup, that's what it is. As I said earlier this music is strange, most people don't get anything out of it. Then there are those like us... I don't get it.

It's ok. Nothing to get too excited about, but still pretty listenable.

yeah since the sampler is free and online.

so i finally listened all the way through 'laguhter's an asshole' (before it was always mixed in with his other albums)

and damn do i really like it.

but the things is: i really should hate this album. i'm not a fan of freak folk, I find the mixing a little off and some stuff aren't really songs.

that being said i really do like this album.

at some point this week i will focus on lion.

I really like Laughter's an asshole and lion land... but I see them sort of as warmup albums to "See you in your Ears" and "All day Midnight" which I think are absurdly good. Not quite sure why he had laughter/lion land released instead of his later two but they are by no means bad.
