1. Motorpsycho - Little Lucid Moments
2. {{{Sunset}}} - Bright Blue Dream
3. LSD Pond - LSD Pond
4. VA - African Scream Contest - Raw & Psychedelic Afro Sounds from Benin & Togo 70s
5. Cloudland Canyon - Lie In Light
6. Earth - The Bees Made Honey In The Lions Skull
7. Torche - Meanderthal
8. Fuzz Against Junk - Netti Netti
9. Dead Meadow - Old Growth
10. Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. - Recurring Nightmare And Apocalypse of Darkness
11. Suishou No Fune - Prayer For Chibi
12. Shit And Shine - Cherry
13. Black Mountain - In The Future
That sunset album really went down for me. It was initially interesting but not much to the lyrics and whatnot to hold it together
yeah, it's slowly going down hill for me, but I go in and out of loving albums a lot haha. I've finally gotten a ton of stuff from 08 and am slowly wading through it so this list will probably be way different in a month.

good to hear!
I just saw Justin again yesterday, terrible college crowd however (it wasn't his own show, was just a big "spring fling" type concert). but they still played very well.
he covered "Every Grain of Sand" by Dylan, as well as a John Prine cover and debuted a brand new song that was pretty good.
he's super excited for Europe next week, especially to open for Iron & Wine.

hmm... i don't think i'd feel right voting for it on the '08 list myself, since i had it as my #1 of '07, but if enough people want to vote for it legitly on the '08 list, it does fall within the rules i believe? or does the July '07 self-release disqualify it? i forget how that works.

My top ten:
1) Matthew Ryan vs. the Silver State- MRVSSS
2) Various Artists: The Wire... and all the Pieces Matter
3) Frightened Rabbit - Midnight Or-gan Fight
4) Drive By Truckers - Brighter Than Creation's Dark
5) Cut Copy - In Ghost Colors
6) Portishead - Third
7) M83 - Saturdays = Youth
8) The Kills - Midnight Boom
9) The Garifuna Women's Collective - Umalali
10) Sun Kil Moon - April
this changes quite a bit.. these are some real solid albums this year. Althought nothing (other than the Matthew Ryan album) has really blown me away.

That Quick record is just one of my favorite things ever. The cover was my avatar here for short bit. "Hilary" is good enough to get that lady elected president, if used as a theme. If you haven't heard it, get it. It's got a bit of Sparks/Helfnelson, a bit of T. Rex, and a bit of bubblegum. The Milk N Cookies record just got reissued as a 2xLP by
Radio Heartbeat.

Yeah that sounds right, with the re-issue it makes it less complicated than the JR situation.
I still motion that any album that falls outside the 2007 top 100 due to small release, overseas only etc should have it's points added to it's 2008 total (like Bat for Lashes in 2006 and 2007 for example).

It ain't rock if it aint got the balls. That's why so much indie rock sucks so badly. Plus, most indie "rock" bands don't know how to fit a punchy, clearly heard bass line in the mix with the vocals. They usually end up hiding it. Shit, you can just look at most of those indie rock pussies and know they suck at rock before a note is even played.
