sonic, have you listened to that paavorharju album yet? it won't make my top ten, but it'll be there somewhere, probably. and i have a feeling that it'll be a little more essential for you.

also, one of the best albums this year that no one is talking about is jessica lea mayfield - with blasphemy so heartfelt.

it's produced by one of the dudes from the black keys, and it's just a really atmospheric and emotional take on americana. great rainy day music.

I couldn't find that paavorharju album. Did you post it a while back? I don't recall.

In regards to the Jessica Lea Mayfield album, I would love to hear this. I think Attack and Release is the best shit of the year and I really love anything regarding the stuff they do. I'll try to find it.

This is true, but it's not a bad thing with this album. Also really nice night walk music. Barefoot Pilgrims is probably in the top ten songs of the year, imo. But yeah... if you don't like sleepy music, then I definitely wouldn't recommend White Hinterland.

This will be tweeked for our list. EPs, and I didn't realize that king khan was a reissue. I hadn't heard it before. Are the tracks re-recorded? it flows pretty well. I need to listen to it more, that's the only reason for the low ranking. I need to listen to King Khan, Baby Charles, Backyard Tire Fire and Little Jackie more.

Definitely an '07 release. Not that it makes a lick of difference, being that you'll be one of maybe three people voting for it.
