My download is going so slow! Let's just chat about how amazing Neon Golden is until it finishes! I'd say it is one of the best of the decade.

Figures. I just downloaded a whole pile of stuff and this pops up. Definitely excited to hear this though, Neon Golden is one of my favorite records of the decade.

This is a bangin' track. Seriously. Judging from this track alone, The Notwist have lost nothing. Captures the same beautiful melancholy as the best songs from Neon Golden. Excited for the rest.

Never ever got into these guys, and by got into, I mean heard anything from them ever. I will download for some reason.

i never got in to these guys, either. only i mean i never really got in to them. had a friend who was big in to them but they never really did much for me.

i probably will download this, though, just so i can say i gave them another chance and so i can sleep soundly at night.

I wasn't a fan of "Good Lies," when it first appeared, and I still think it's a crap opener. But the rest is Notwist at their best— and I'll probably come around to "Good Lies" momentarily. Stand-out so far: I restarted "Alphabet" as soon as it was over.

I liked notwist before they went pussy rock, although there are some decent songs on Neon Golden. I'm downloading this, but not expecting much. I'd much rather listen to their s/t from 1991.

As someone who has only heard Neon Golden and now this, i'm curious to know what early Notwist stuff sounds like. Is it heavier?

It's metal, although around 97 when the 12/Loup EPs hit they started going pussy rock (I still really love the 12 EP)

Didn't get through the whole thing last night, but I did like what I heard a whole lot. Title track is hot. Probably will start this up again in a minute or so here.

I'd be grateful for Shrink, too. Apparently I don't have the whole album in MP3, and my CDs are in a box halfway across the country.

LOVED Neon Golden too, can't wait to hear this

i enjoy everything notwist has done. their punkier stuff, their metal stuff, there electronic stuff. nook, 12, and neon golden are all awesome. i am dying to see them live, b/c last time they came, they canceled due to a broken tour bus or somethings. i was so sad. i am looking forward to hearing this album.

As far as the new record goes, sounds ALOT like Neon Golden. I loved that one, but im not sure i wanted NG2 from these guys. Still though, ill give it time to digest..

Thanks for these links. I've always hear the name but failed to actually listen to anything by them. Its only now that going to Primavera Festival (where they're playing) that I've taken note. Still yet to actually listen to the notwist stuff i have. I'm pretty useless and forgetful like that.
