I didn't see a thread for this, so I figured I might as well post it, this baby is out either today or tomorrow. I loved Night Ripper and I'm really excited for this one.

This is my third most anticipated of the year (say what you will). This guy played our school a few months back and it was the most ridiculous concert experience I've ever had. I don't know if I can wait until tomorrow to buy it off Illegal Art, they need to go ahead and put it up.

They're giving it away for free on the website radiohead style, I believe. There is a lengthy interview with him from Pfork regarding the whole thing posted yesterday.

Yeah, when a statement seems bizarre. Like, "Uhhhhh, what the fuck is he talking about?"
so it's bizarre to wonder if an artist might change or shift direction?
remember when Donny Osmond teamed up with Peter Gabriel?

He said there is to be more big, super popular songs that would get any crowd going. In the interview I read he cited "September" by Earth Wind and Fire, and "Whoomp There it Is" by whoever did that song. He also said that he feels he's maxed out this style of LP - the full-length continuous mix. He said that in the future he wants to experiment with having verses and choruses in the songs, but it would still be based on samples.

So this is essentially Night Ripper 2, and i couldnt be happier. My go-to summer album of '08 has finally arrived.
Who woulda thought "No Diggity" and "Flashing Lights" could mesh so well with each other? This guys a genius. Anyone up for a game of Name that Sample?

And what's the deal with the $10 one huge file? Like, continuous w/ no gaps in between tracks? That might be worth the 10 bucks.

Word of note: If you pay 5.00 to get the seamless version download that first. I tried to download the regular MP3 version and then the seamless download wouldn't work. Hopefully someone will upload the seamless eventually so I can hear that one.
Also: The usage of "Girlfriend" on the second track is fantastic.

Night Ripper still sounds fresh to me to this day. "Once Again" never fails to slay me with the Foreplay/Long Time bit.
This one I've only listened to a few tracks--maybe not quite as immediate as Night Ripper but still pretty great. The "In A Big Country"/"Whoop There it Is" combo is awesome. Oh shit, the "Gypsy" bit is killing me too.
