Howdy, folks! We are hosting the Fractured Lens Video Festival in a classic movie theater, located in the northwest side of Chicago. We are looking for people (that means you) to contribute original video-shorts to be featured in the program. Subject matter is completely open, including but not limited to: documentary, experimental, travel/vacation, animation, humor, drama, Grandma's birthday party, pets, interviews, et cetera. If you've ever wanted to see your own videos shown in a big screen theater, this is the time to do it. We are looking for videos that are 10 minutes or less (even super short ones.) Any skill level, from amateur to professional will be accepted. This is purely for fun and entertainment, and none of the material will be juried.
Thursday, August 21st at 8 p.m. (Encore at 10pm.)
Portage Theatre 4050 N. Milwaukee Avenue Chicago, IL
The Portage Theater is a beautiful and restored eighty year-old theater with a capacity in excess of 1300!
Video submissions are free.
Tickets are $5, and can be purchased at the door and is open to the public!
In addition to the submitted content, we will be showing a few of our own video pieces. If in fact it appears that we end up with a relatively small amount of submitted content to adequately fill the program, then we will show vintage and fun classic film shorts, so an entertaining evening is guaranteed for all.
Forward this message to anyone you know who might be interested in participating in the fest. Please unsubscribe if you want to be removed from future e-mails. We hope to see you there, it promises to be a fun evening!
Thanks,
John Keller and Tony Jankowski
