1990. The year I was born. I have VERY little music from this year, and I would like more. Upload your favourite albums of this year! The 1983 thread was awesome, let's hope this one introduces myself and others to as many hidden gems.
The Luscious Phil
No lie... this might be the worst year for music in the last twenty years.

Spacemen 3 - Taking Drugs To Make Music To Take Drugs To

Wasn't this some demos from 1983 or something?

I did an analysis a few years ago of how many albums I had from each year since 1965. If I remember correctly, 1990 came dead last.
DrJimmy
Jellyfish's Bellybutton came out this year.

I'm pretty sure that its a compilation of some sort. (fake edit: yes, it is a compilation of demos for Sound of Confusion)

Compared to crap like 1993 this is a great year.

93 had some fantastic albums. 36 Chambers, Midnight Marauders, In Utero, Siamese Dream, Exile in Guyville, Pablo Honey, Gentlemen, Transmissions from the Satellite Heart, Painful, Where You Been, Zooropa, Debut to name a few.
Mitchell
I count five good albums from that list and a load that don't interest me at all.

Worst year of the decade.

Add to this: Sebadoh - Bubble and Scrape, Built to Spill - Ultimate Alternative Wavers, Underworld - Dubnobasswitmyheadman, Slowdive - Souvlaki, Fugazi - In on the Killtaker, New Order - Republic, Superchunk - On the Mouth, and the best album of the year Eric's Trip - Love Tara, and you have a year with some fifteen albums better than 1990's best.
Insane
Gentlemen and 36 Chambers alone make 1993 better than 1990.
Mitchell
Well you've convinced me. Especially with Smashing Pumpkins and Liz Phair.

Aside from the fact that not one person has done what the thread was made for, UPLOAD anything (except Bruegel who at least provided youtube links), thanks for all the recommendations... now let's get some links going.

Here's a throw-away, one-hit-wonder with stupid lyrics from 1990 that I kinda like. I heard this a lot in 1990 and it stuck in my head. The single came out in the summer of 1990. No real idea what else this band did, if anything.

The Farm - Groovy Train
