I did an analysis a few years ago of how many albums I had from each year since 1965. If I remember correctly, 1990 came dead last.

93 had some fantastic albums. 36 Chambers, Midnight Marauders, In Utero, Siamese Dream, Exile in Guyville, Pablo Honey, Gentlemen, Transmissions from the Satellite Heart, Painful, Where You Been, Zooropa, Debut to name a few.
I count five good albums from that list and a load that don't interest me at all.

Gentlemen and 36 Chambers alone make 1993 better than 1990.
