You keep harping on Beth's little transgression--I mean really, it was cute, harmless, done & forgotten in a matter of hours--yet following months & months of endlessly obnoxious, tedious, disruptive drivel you remain an Ace apologist. It's like you're defending cancer.

I dunno vel. ace was annoying. ace made a bunch of threads that were often the same, but he at least seemed to be able to put together a sentence I could figure out without really too much trouble. I just never got why people needed him banned. I don't see why it was so difficult to ignore his threads if they really bothered you so much. On top of that, occasionally I even saw his point, and I actually enjoyed arguing with him on occasion and reading others arguing with him. Maybe I'm just a weirdo.

as far as cute lil beth is concerned, I never wanted her banned either. I just liked pointing out the inconsistency in the anti-ace sentiment vs. the oh she's just a cute girl, and we need more cute girls around here philosophy. And for the record, her stunt was more disruptive to the flow of the board than any of ace's antics.

also, I didn't mean to harp on beth. I was merely providing a counterpoint to mitchell's archive quote which I didn't particularly care for. aneg's post was funnier and more heartfelt and as I said before equally accurate.

Point taken on all counts except one. If he'd just kept to his own threads, I'd probably agree he wasn't a terminal case. But Ace took a dump in virtually every legitimate thread in attempts to make it about him or otherwise derail it. Sure, even then the ignore feature comes in handy, but the overall effect disrupted the flow of the board on a daily basis.

El, where can we find your writing?

I wrote (free lance) record and film reviews for The Boise Statesman about 10 years ago after having been editor and writer for the Leisure section for my University newspaper. Since then, most of my writing has either been required for getting my Masters or in my private journals. Still, it's a muscle I really haven't exercised in almost five years.
