As you can see, there has been an IRC chatroom created.
you can join by clicking on the IRC chat forum from the main page
or by joining us at irc.freenode.net #SoundOpinions using your own irc client. i suggest http://www.xchat.org/
and then click on this link: irc://irc.freenode.net/SoundOpinions


to change your name to Bob for example, type
/nick Bob
in the chat

yeah it requires no download if you follow the link from the forum index. it just loads a java applet.

im guessing you dont have a java runtime environment installed. i thought firefox automatically points you in the right direction to install it though.....

I have IE6 for a default browser and Firefox Mozilla...does that provide a clue as to what to do next?

Not my choice... Actually I tried running the link after clicking Firefox as the default browser...still the same thing. Hey, don't sweat this. I spend waaaay too much time on the board as it is.
