Currently:
Facebook <--- Can't stand it and mainly only use it to people I am semi-freinds with but wouldn't talk to on a phone.
SOMB <---- I'm actually not trying to insult anyone here but my musical tastes have shifted away from the SOMB norm and I'm finding myself less interested by the day.
New York Times <---- This is a fairly recent development, when I realized I wasn't up enough on current events. I usually end up only reading the Business Section.
E-mail <----- I'm not going to explain this.
Yeah fairly boring. How 'bout yourself. Might lead to some people discovering ways to waste what little valuable time they have left.

I deleted my Facebook for some reason, but I still sometimes reach for the "F" key instinctually when at the search bar and find myself having to restrain my fingers from typing the rest of the word. That website is unhealthy in every single way and I wish everyone else would delete theirs. We've slipped into a strange state as a society now that we're all present online 24 hours a day, and I hate it. There is something happening on a massive scale that is being completely fueled by Facebook.
SOMB - I don't necessarily know what the SOMB norm is, but I don't think I like it. Because it's a norm. Fuck norms.
Reddit.com - everyone on the somb should go to this website. It's a high class Digg. Seriously, bookmark it and become it's friend. Spread the word. Tons of shit, and actually intelligent comments generally.

There's just something off about Facebook. Click on the status button and go through reading people's statuses. It's fucked up. And all those pictures. What really worries me is that companies tap into that shit and there is NO way to truly delete your Facebook. All of your information goes directly to these companies and other people, I really don't need the person I am on the internet to interfere with the person I am in real life. It's weird. The internet is an alternate reality, seriously. I wouldn't want companies to know me by my posts here, posts on reddit, and so on. You do some things on the internet that you wouldn't be willing to do IRL. At least I do. And on Facebook by making yourself completely available for communication you're thereby dulling your real life interactions with the same people in a sense pulling yourself out of reality, I would say. And this is happening on a massive scale. We walk around on the streets and you can feel it, or maybe I'm just insane but I feel horribly detached at times. Deleting Facebook has actually helped me, I feel like more of a real live person.

The only "websites" i really check are SOMB, LOPP, and whatever labels are about to drop records I want. The rest I feed through my google reader, which is biggest time suck I've ever encountered for something that makes life more efficient.

Social networking sites like Facebook are no longer about social networking. They're about advertisements, promotions, media control. Everyone is a consumer on facebook, not a human being.
I can't say I've deleted mine, mainly because it's the only way a few people I know will communicate with me, which in and of itself is sad.

Here is what you do. You stop letting your picture show up online and don't write any stupid information about yourself. Make your profile private, and don't do a bunch of linking through other people. Any information about weed, drinking, and stupid other shit, I delete.

Good call, I cringe at every partypic my friends upload (photos with partial/pseudo-nudity, bongs, alcohol, mirrors with copious amounts of coke, etc.). I wonder if any of them plan on having a life after college.

Facebook is something I hit up occasionaly, but not daily. Every once in a while I entertain thoughts about deleting my account, as it really is just a cyber-voyeur site (As stated by its creator), but there's still something so redeeming about going "Hey, there's that guy from the basketball team who I hated so much and he has gotten fat". As long as that feeling still stirs my soul, I'm sure I'll keep my account. Also, I like changing my profile picture to shit like Dwight Schrute with "Warning This Man is A Pervert" or Wandering Bear and getting puzzled reactions from friends I haven't seen since high school.
