Their best to date in my opinion.
i still prefer Face Control (my fave album of '09), but Sound Kapital is badass...
the last 3 songs are the best 3 song run of any 2011 album for me i think. and yeah, Repatriated kills

So does this mean the husband and wife have split up or they've just stopped making music?

Yeah, this was lousy news tonight. I sure love their music, and seeing them last year was incredibly fun.

Much respect to Dan Boekner. Driving force behind Wolf Parade. Even if it was divorce I hope he enjoyed tearing up that little sex kitten.

yeah, this is too bad. wolf parade were one of the better rock bands of the latter aughts, and HF got better with each release to the point where their records were +/- as enjoyable as wolf parades best (i still prefer the alternating boeckner/krug aesthetic over the course of an LP more than just one of them solo, but of course both are very fine tunesmiths individually as well). either way, enough about WP, RIP HF, and looking forward to whatever you've got cooking next, danny boy.

well, this is pretty damn awesome.considering britt & merge's involvement w/ the wild flag record, not to mention the across the board high quality of their other work, i have high hopes for an indie supergroup record form the likes of these dudes on merge.

yeah... that is amazing.
Britt and Dan in a band together? even if the album isn't as great as it sounds on paper, the live show will be incredible.

Was wondering what spoon was up to. Explains why they were playing the Wf song live couple years ago

Don't know about the random third guy that is showing up in the news regarding this band. But with Britt and Dan alone this tour would be one big pussy train.
I'll definitely purchase a ticket for the inevitable stop at House of Blues.

Never a huge fan, either, but they always put on a hell of a show in the opening slots I caught them in.
