Can't believe how slow moderation on this is. Very quick to slap warnings on people posting a fat man's arse.yet a frequently banned troll is able to continue to post his inane bullshit from his blog.
maybe because regardless of howmuch ace annoys you, so far in this incarnation nothing he's done has actually impacted one's ability to enjoy the board. a minimal amount of ignoring is all that's necessary if these types of threads really bug you that much.
60's - beatles, kinks, velvet underground
70's - springsteen & e street, clash, who
80's - costello & the attractions, replacements, r.e.m.
springsteen??? Costello???? Pretty good picks other than that. What about the 90s though?

they are all better then Modest Mouse and BJTM
That's just crazy talk. Modest Mouse and BJTM were two of the few truly original and creative bands of the last 20 years. Sure BJTM had alot of influences, but the way they processed those influences and organically created something completely new from those influences can't be beat. Great song writing, great instrumentations, great riffs, the whole package.
Modest Mouse can be hit or miss, and they sometimes wouldnt know when to edit themselves, but when they were on, they were top notch.
Radiohead on the otherhand suffers from trying too hard to sound original and end up sounding like a bunch of half baked ideas all crammed together. Green day...I mean come on. Green Day??? Good lord.
Same goes for Oasis, they just make me wanna puke--I couldnt name one song by them, honestly.
