This is going to sink or swim on the supporting cast. Total balls that they're completely stripping the thing down to the lead character, which I admire. But this season has potential to be an absolute failure. Jody Hill hasn't let me down yet, I'm rooting for him.

Yeah I was pretty disappointed too. I think I had about 2 or 3 chuckles. Does seem to be more of a tone-setting episode, but the new setting/characters didn't work much at all (esp Deep Roy's one-note character...zzzz). I was hooked from the start on the first season and it became one of my all-time favorite shows--hopefully the rest of the season coheres into something worthy of what they started.

It definately wasn't that funny. I didn't mind it though. I'm hoping the rest of the season picks up and that Stevie gets the fuck down there.

Pretty much my expectation. The midget was ok, but there was next to nothing from the supporting cast. KP can hold an episode together, but he needs contributions from others. I wished Pedro was going to say something good. We'll see, I'll still watch.

i'm having the exact opposite reaction with the new season... no real story line, too much Kenny fuckin P in your face, and still no interesting supporting characters.
i'm about to give up on this show.

Haven't got to the 4th episode yet, but as far as the first three, each episode has been better than the preceding one. The third episode has been my favourite so far and given me my new sig.

Im thinking that he will begin his journey back to the US in the next episode to go and see April again and that the next season will be back in that town again. If that is the case I reckon there will only be 1 more season.

Yeah it might be. When I watch em again I'll probably make my mind up.
I rewatched the first season recently and it is probably funnier as a whole, especially the fifth episode. The scenes at Ashley Schaffer BMW are ridiculously funny, especially Schaffer's monologue about having sex with his wife.

I really enjoy how this show manages to deal with Kenny's more serious issues. Primarily through some of the soundtrack choices. One of those moments, which sticks out from earlier in this season, was his roller-coaster ride. What a fantastic scene that was.
It's difficult describing this show as purely comedic, even though it essentially is. It's a classic dark comedy series, I suppose.
I can't wait until Season 3.

It's a dark comedy that depends
mightily on the total suspension of disbelief. I ask you, how many times every 5 minutes would that guy get a beatdown in real life? Most shows don't push it anywhere close to that extent. Which is one of the things that make it so funny, I guess.
