Found this a while ago, about the time their album came out.
It's enjoyable, and large chunks of it is pretty much perfect for parties etc, but the sheer amount of enthusiasm can get pretty wearing.
I like it, but it's hardly one I would play daily.

been familiar w/ this band for a while but never heard their music until recently when i got a ride to portland this past weekend. the driver was really excited about how rad their album was. then she played it and it sucked.

Yeah, I really like them. They translate so much better live, though. I saw them open for Lily Allen - they killed it. Crazy energy. The album is fun, but I only really started digging it after I saw them live.

They definitely work better live. They really know how to put on an original, fun live show. And I've seen them a few times and they don't just recycle the same live show "fun" gags every show.

I haven't seen them live lately, though. I saw them when they were just touring around Seattle, most of them still in high school. I really can't wait to see them again, though.

See if the lead singer was a little more plumper I know where this would be going.

A Google search informs me it's a Peaches song called Hot Rod. I'll have to listen to it later to see if they're really that similar, though.
