A few minor details about questions they intend to answer in the final episode.
Lost masterminds Carlton Cuse and Damen Lindelof dop hints about how ABC hit drama will end
Jun 2 2009
Lost masterminds Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have been dropping hints about how the show will end next spring.
Among the mysteries unravelled in the very last episode will be the significance of the four-toed statue, what the Smoke Monster really is and who the skeletons in the cave were.
(We reckon Egyptian fertility goddess Taweret, conscience and Penny & Desmond respectively, for what it's worth!)
Says Cuse: "The end of the show will be a combination of trying to answer mysteries the audience still cares about, such as the statue and the Smoke Monster.
"We'll also be answering the skeletons in the cave question. We will answer the questions we feel are important and central to the plot.
"At the same time we will be trying to tell redemption stories about the characters. These characters do indeed have a destiny.

Here's another Damon / Carlton quote with some season six hints:
Spoiler/NSFW: click to show/hide
"We’ve been planning out the final season for four years now. And of all the talks we have had about the show, [reuniting all the castaways] is the subject that has come up the most. The ending was almost where we began, and we had to figure out how to get there. It's like a wedding where the reception is the part that requires the most planning and is the most fun to plan. We've exchanged our vows and I am ready to go party."

1) LOST isn't on in the fall.
2) If Charlie is back on LOST, it could be as a flashback, this doesn't mean he's not dead.
3) Apparently he's on some other new show on ABC in the fall.

i'm dumbfounded at anyone who thinks that this ad doesn't mean what the more conspiracy minded of us think it mean. would abc put out a promo like this, not thinking that people would interpret it this way? there is not a doubt in my mind that this is an intentional tease. saying that he was dead doesn't mean that mongahan is back on lost full time, but it does mean that there are going to be some time erasing shenanigans on lost next season.
if this is just a lame attempt at an easy going rapport between abc's male roster, it's even creepier. who talks about having been dead at a bbq? just weird.

Well, it apparently is for a new show. We just don't know which one yet. Why keep it a secret though? That's pretty retarded:
http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00024797.htmlBut leave it to ABC for teasing us. Someone out there wants us to think the reset might've happened.

I don't think it's determined to be a new show or not yet. It could just as easily be greys anatomy, from what my wife tells me some actors on there are prolly leaving the show and I guess they'll need to bring some new people in.
I think one thing we can likely conclude however is that the "time reset" where the plane lands in LA like nothing ever happened prolly didn't happen. The actress who plays Juliette is in that "V" remake and now this, I don't think we'll be seeing a mass resurrection at the start of season 6.

So this is going to be completely off the wall, but I thought I'd throw it out there. I don't watch this show, although I somewhat follow it in bits ands pieces because my wife watches it. Kinda like Dancing with the Stars, I guess (yes I just compared DWTS to Lost). Anyway, my wife recorded this entire season but hasn't gotten around to watching it until the last couple of weeks. Saturday night there's nothing on, so I offer her the TV and suggest she watch the next ep of Lost in the queue (it's pretty early on, the one where they get on the plane to go back to the island, still a February ep IIRC) while I screw around on the computer.
So the show's kinda in my head later that night, and it's the ep where they show Locke dead, and I'm flipping around channels looking for something to watch around midnight. Chiller, this pretty crappy horror film network that usually shows REALLY bad horror films that are more funny than scary, is showing a Land of the Lost marathon (in other words, the perfect show for hte network). I haven't seen an ep of that show in decades, so I watch the last 15 minutes or so of one of them. And at the end, when they run the credits, I happened to notice that the name of the guy who plays the Sleestack leader is John Locke.
Coincidence? Two shows about people being lost in an alternate reality - could this be intentional? I remembered a dad from long ago, but the ep I saw had an "Uncle Jack" character. Another coincidence?
FWIW, that show looks worse than anything I could have imagined. It looked ridiculous back then even by 70s TV standards as viewed through the eyes of an 8 year old, but damn, what was the budget for that show? $1.50 a week?

Ha! I just did a search on this to see if anyone else made the connection, and this guy has out-done himself. His knowledge of LotL is borderline-scary. And oddly enough, he just wrote this, too. I guess with the movie coming out LotL is on people's brains (although no one apparently went to see it).

I highly doubt that list is real, I don't think they'd name one of their episodes after a current movie. It looks more like a wishlist of what some fan hopes the titles are.
Tracy Jacks
Jun 10 2009, 11:18 PM
Total fabrication. The list lacks titles with cultural/literary allusions (There's No Place Like Home), comedy (Some Like It Hoth), references to Losties (LaFleur) and references to past episodes/themes (The Variable) that have made up past titles. The names are boring, I'd dread a season if those were the titles.

juliette was on a rerun of jimmy last night and she talked about how she was shooting lost season 5 while shooting V so the show can
have people be on two shows (though dont know why we didnt have nestor campbell during that whole cane thing)
i did like how she said in the interview (Which has to be super old since she doesnt reveal anything about anything)
how she makes it to the end of the season.
i wonder if she even knows whats up for her next season.
we just have to see her.

some of the promo materials at comic con implied the reset season theory. which means that there's gotta be a twist there somewhere. but it looks like this season will somehow involve all the losties landing safely. maybe.

Yeah, the chicken shack and Oceanic spots heavily convey that the end of season 5 really was a game changer and the alternate reality Losties landed safely in LA. Very interesting.

What was even more interesting is that the America's Most Wanted ad for Kate said that she didn't kill her stepfather, but someone else died in the explosion. This could have even further implications for the reset. They also confirmed that Faraday and Juliet will be back.

I agree with this man. The first season is loaded with excellent, often powerful flashbacks, that make it one of my favorite seasons for any show. In season 2, most flashbacks are shorter, add to the earlier flashbacks, but are less riveting. I like season two, but the first one is incredible.

Plus we started to have main characters do stupid things (which I refuse to believe was "part of the masterplan" and more along of the line of poor writing decisions) and a huge chunk of time wasted on characters that, as of right now, never even mattered because they were all killed off and weren't all that engaging even if they hadn't died (except Mr. Eko). Overall it was still a good show, but also a bit shaky at times. If it had been better, millions of people wouldn't have stopped watching out of sheer frustration and boredom. I hung around because I don't have a short attention span like those millions, and so did countless others. That was a good thing, because it got really good again after six or so episodes into season 3 and for the most part has remained on-track barring a few minor scrapes and hiccups.
