Just a kind reminder, need to do it in an hour to be official.
ryan
You're as neurotic as me -- awesome.

I had a digital clock and two alarms on my cell phone set to remind me to change it this evening. Me thinks it was one of those telling cohabitational moments for the girlfriend to watch me field my alarms and shuffle about the house resetting all the clocks.
Saskadelphia
Not me!

We're weird in Saskatchewan, we don't do the time change thing.

I like the April change, I prefer being mountain time instead of central in the winter.

I think the time change just added an extra hour onto the time of all the recent posts.

I know it didn't actually happen until one minute after 1:59 am. But the post above mine here has a post-time of 2:12 am CST, which would be impossible since that whole hour technically didn't "exist" at all.

I'm so confused.

Ugh, this isn't going to help my sleep schedule at all.
Mitchell
It took me 3 days to sort my sleeping out last weekend as once the clocks went forward the weather cleared up making the light difference even worse.
HewlettsDaughter
shit yeah this will suck something fierce. i hate adjusting sleeping patterns, especially when i've been sleeping so poorly lately.
Andyroo
I've been going to sleep at 4-4:30am lately, which is really, really terrible. So now, I'll be going to sleep at 5am tonight, and have to wake up for work in less than six hours.

Oh well. A couple fucked nights like that will get me on a better schedule.
velocity
I fucking hate this stupid time change. Maybe if all my clocks & appliances were on atomic time or something, and updated automagically. But they're not and they don't.
faxman75
We don't play with our clocks out here. It's a nice feature for us Arizonans.
no magnets
the only good thing about springing ahead is it's easier to change the clock in my car than in the fall. losing the hour is terrible, especially when i had such a disjointed weekend of sleep. i'm going to be a mess on monday morning.

Most of Indiana used to be weird like that, but not anymore. sad.gif

Now it's only Hawaii and Arizona left.

The time change can eat my fat ass. I recently changed shifts so I start at 6am, waking up at 4:30am to get to work on time. Now, I am getting up at what now is like 3:30am. sad.gif And just when I started to drive into work with the sunrise, I am now driving to work in the dark with only the rain to keep me company. So depressing...

Meanwhile, in Indiana, clocks have been moved forward for the first time ever.

It is absolutely hilarious how this non-story has rated weeks of media coverage.

WTF is so hard about understanding this? It will save you money, and allow you to do more at night while it is still light outside.

Stupid redneck Hoosiers. Thank GOD I wasn't born in this state.

I loved the reasoning behind why the Hoosiers didn't switch before: "It'll confuse the cows." laugh.gif

Do you know how easy it is to survive in this state if you have a brain?

I make more than 80% of the people who live here. (And I'm strictly middle class). I could do the same job, make the same money I do now, live in Chicago, and have myself a crappy apartment, or a two hour commute to work after I find an affordable house.

Here: I own a house, two cars, keep my kids well-clothed, have a little bit of spending money, and I don't have to deal with all of the politics, back door dealing, and cliquishness of the business I'm in, which occurs in every other large city.

Indianapolis ain't Heaven, and the people here aren't all that quick on their feet, but I'm doing pretty freaking well here. (Besides that, my wife's family is here, so there's that to deal with). wink.gif

I thought you were going to say
"Meanwhile, in Indiana, clocks have been used forward for the first time ever."

Damn, I keep hoping.

What do you do, Complain? (I mean complain as your name, not an appositive)

1) Sales - construction supply
2) Writer - aspiring novelist, and write interviews/reviews for a few magazines and websites
3) High school referee - basketball and volleyball

My joke was that when Indiana set their clocks forward, it would be to the 21st century
