As you may know-- my mother died of pancreatic cancer this July. She was only 66 years old.

Back in 1972, when my Dad was going through his divorce, my "aunt" actually CHOSE to be mother to me and my brother. She raised 3 daughters of her own, and still found the time to love 2 boys when they needed her most.

My brother is running in the Chicago Marathon this Sunday to raise money for the American Cancer Society, and he is only about $400 shy of a $3000 goal.

Dave finished the race in over 3 hours, (3:49:58) and we Only have $89.60 to go! My brother assures me that donations will still be accepted until the end of the month. The race is over for Dave, but ours is ongoing. Good job, Dave!
