. I LUV U S. DUBZ. Album of the year. Sorry if I missed an earlier thread or if this belongs in the ysi megathread but whatever. Today is a good day in the history of leaks. I've already heard this once (I got it elswhere and I think it's better than Tilt. the lyrics are more fun, scary and "I'LL PUNCH A DONKEY IN THE STREETS OF GALWAY" made me lol
In 20 years time will people not say things like "Did you know OK Computer and Ladies and Gentlemen.. came out on the same day" but say "Didi you know that album A and album B leaked on the same day"

Bumping this thread in acknowledgement of the sheer brilliance of this album. After downloading it last month and realizing to my horror I had missed out on one of the year's very best titles, I bought the CD on Boxing Day, and continue to be spellbound. So much so, that I downloaded Tilt and 5 Easy Pieces, too. It's truly extreme music (so much so that Decibel magazine was completely warranted in listing it in their top 40), it out-goths every single goth band alive, and should have placed in my top ten.

This has been out (leaked) since April? Wow.
I haven't heard anything else he's done so I'm hesitant to say anything other than another the typical "this is so disturbing!" comment. I probably owe it a real listen instead of the low volume treatment I've been giving it, but maybe I'm too scared.

This album has really grown on me. Kind of an acquired taste.
It's amazing to me how Walker has evolved as an artist. Hard to believe he got his start as a teen idol doing a pseudo British invasion thing in the 60's. Then he moved on to the heavily orchestrated crooner work of his first 4 solo albums. Now he's releasing the most uncompromising music of his career at age 63.

Who would have thought that this guy would ever make an album of him beating slabs of beef and yelling "I'M THE ONLY ONE LEFT ALIVE!!!!!!"
And Undo, you need to crank this shit. One of the best sounding records I've heard this decade. Dude must have used some kickass mics for this shit. It just sounds so wide open or something. Wonderful.

The Drift was probably my favorite record in 2006. It was exactly the kind of record I want from Walker at this point.
