This is pretty cool project our label put together . . . basically recruited a few of their favorite locals to contribute two new songs each to a compilation CD. Most are roots/americana based but pretty loosely in a lot of cases. All seven bands featured on the compilation will perform at the Release Party this Saturday.

Hey! and I'll be there!

Hey, thanks Jim!

This weekend: Mile Long Records release party
Jim DeRogatis on December 2, 2009 1:00 AM Anyone starting a new independent record label these days has to be driven by passion, because the business prospects are anything but promising. Chicagoan Michael Paeth clearly is a fan and a believer, and he's celebrating a new compilation, "Analog Highway," trumpeting the Americana, roots- and garage-rock artists on his Mile Long Records label (www.milelongrecords.com) with a record release show Saturday, Dec. 5, at 9 p.m. at Martyr's, 3855 N. Lincoln. The performers include Dive Bar, Penthouse Sweets, Twilight Revival, Scattergun, Nashville Wreckers, Medicine Hat and Sawbuck, and the cover is $8. More information can be found at www.martyrslive.com, (773) 404-9494.

Hoping to make it down for this, tweed.
tweed
Cool, hope to see you both.

By the way, we're a threesome now . . . and personally, i think it's the best we've ever sounded.

Drop me a line if you know you're coming and i'll try to get you on the list.
theremin
looking at you on my screen right now.

Pretty sure we aren't going to make it...getting a camera is proving difficult, and it turns out we don't need the footage at all.

Good seeing you Tweed. Bummer that you guys didn't get to play, hope your bassist is alright. I was looking forward to seeing
the new trio lineup.

The Nashville Wreckers were kick ass. Some epic stuff. I also heavily dug Penthouse Sweets - they brought the rawk.
tweed
so embarrasing . . . .

thanks for coming out Maz was nice to actually get to hang without the interruption of the whole "get on stage and play thing."
