Yeah, he does. Conrad Amenta.

lol

I don't. A 19 year old kid from the suburbs attending college in Chicago is their Social Media Manager and writes unreadable reviews of hip hop albums, though.

Is that the guy who wrote the review of the Drake mixtape? That review, man.
Pavement Ist Rad
No, but he did write this:

that review was so good i got a little jealous.
HRTX
I sort of liked the sentiment of the review (glad to see it was a positive one!) but the writing itself is just so... cokemachineglow.

fair enough. sometimes i wish my own writing was like that. i feel too pr-ish sometimes, at least in my more professional writing. i appreciate their overthought, overwritten, goofy ass aesthetic sometimes.

This is the type of lament that might be uttered with some exhausted contempt were the band and what they’re doing thoroughly worn out, but as Get Color proves, there is still more room in the snow globe, and HEALTH’s trembling hands won’t be idling anytime soon.
Duff.

YACHT - Psychic City
But there is nothing to get in the way of this track's giddy bubble-popping effects, insistent yet rubbery groove, or big, summery chorus.

This is so off the mark. These dudes do everything they can to get in the way of the chorus, it's so fucking annoying.

I expected Wavves to secure a top 50 spot. I mean, yeah it's a shitty band, but it's an alright tune.

If you're talking about "So Bored", I got halfway through that song before I had to turn it off. That stuff is unbearable for me.

the YACHT song is the most annoying on the whole list.
Duff.
Those Passion Pit songs give it a run, but I think you're right.

Yeah, I was referring to "So Bored." Sound quality aside, I think it's a pretty neat song. Catchy at the least.

Paves' blurb for "Summertime Clothes" is the best thing since sliced bread. Fantastic job.

Paul, as ever, you are a golden god for putting this thing together.

Fitting 1-2 punch at the top.

SOMB Says: Natasha, when I first heard you
I knew that you’d lit
A flame in my heart
You didn’t win the Mercury Prize
Not only once but twice
and with the Pearl disguise
you split into two parts

In two thousand and six
When time came for album picks
Had you above everything
I ranked and ranked and ranked
Once at the Zodiac
Met you round the back
Next to the speaker-stack
And said I loved your art.

Paul asked me to blurb (Natasha)
About a hundred words (Natasha)
And have it in by six o’clock (Natasha)
That’s G. M. T.

(Instrumental section)

Bit like that Bjork they said
Listening to your set
On tour with Radiohead
Just kids at Victoria Park
And as a guy spun round
Said “more like Kate Bush I’ve found”
I shook my head and exclaimed
Not this again!
Not this again!

Paul asked me to blurb (Natasha)
About a hundred words (Natasha)
And have it in by six o’clock (Natasha)
That’s G. M. T. – Mitchell

the parody master approves, although the sub of "natasha" for "daniel" is a bit off pace obviously. Poetic license, eh wot? biggrin.gif cool.gif
Duff.

Music Go Music - Warm in The Shadows

This is a good song. Not sure it needs to approach nine minutes long, but a jam, sure.
cheese picture
psychic city makes me want to kill myself
Duff.
That Matt & Kim song I think might actually be worse.
